Who we are
R6Strats is run by Wellington Web Co Ltd, a UK company based in Edinburgh. Our company number is [Company number] and our registered address is [Registered address].
When you buy on R6Strats, you buy from us. We're the seller for every sale and we handle the VAT. Creators supply their content to us so we can sell it to you.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Wellington Web Co Ltd. "You" means the person using the site. You can reach us at hello@r6strats.com [to confirm].
Your account
You sign in with a magic link we email to you. There's no password, so anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Keep your email account safe.
- Use a real email address and keep it up to date. We use it to sign you in and to send receipts and important notices.
- An account is for one person. Don't share it or your sign in links.
- You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Closing it ends your access to anything you've unlocked.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we do, we'll tell you why unless the law stops us. If we close your account for any other reason, we'll give you notice and a fair refund for paid access you lose.
What you buy
Each creator has a page on R6Strats. You pay once on that page to unlock their whole catalogue: their strats, configs and videos.
- Updates are included. When the creator adds or updates strats, you get them at no extra cost.
- Nothing is downloaded. You use everything on the site while you're signed in to your account.
- It's per creator. Buying from one creator doesn't unlock anyone else's content.
Strats change as the game does. A creator may update or retire a strat when it stops working, for example when a map leaves the ranked pool or a patch changes it.
A strat is a plan, not a promise. We can't guarantee you'll win rounds or rank up.
Your licence
When you unlock a catalogue, we give you a personal licence to view and use it. You can't transfer it to anyone else. The content still belongs to the creator.
You can
- read and watch everything you've unlocked while signed in
- use the strats in your own games, including with your team on comms
You can't
- share copies of strats, configs or videos, including screenshots, recordings or the written text
- resell or sublicense anything you've unlocked
- share your account or your sign in links
- scrape the site or get around the locks
Talking a strat through with your own team in your own games is fine. That's what it's for.
Prices and VAT
Each creator's price is on their page. It includes VAT where VAT applies. You'll see the total before you pay.
Stripe processes payments for us. We never see or store your full card details.
We may change prices. A change never affects something you've already paid for. If we show a price that's clearly wrong, we'll tell you before going ahead. If you've already paid and don't want to continue at the right price, we'll refund you.
Cancelling and the 14 day rule
When you buy online in the UK, you normally have 14 days to change your mind. For digital content like ours, that right ends once you start getting access, as long as you agreed to that first. This comes from the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
At checkout we'll ask you to agree that access starts straight away. We'll also ask you to confirm you understand you'll lose the right to cancel. Checkout won't go through without that, because access starts as soon as you've paid. Your receipt will confirm what you agreed to.
Once access starts, the 14 day cancellation right no longer applies. That doesn't affect your rights if something's wrong with what you bought. See the next section and our refund policy.
If something's wrong
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
If it isn't, you're entitled to have it repaired or replaced. If we can't do that within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you're entitled to a price reduction. That can be up to a full refund.
If digital content we supplied damages your device or other digital content because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll repair the damage or compensate you.
Our refund policy explains how this works in practice. Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights.
Creator content and conduct
Strats, configs and videos are made by creators, who are responsible for what they publish. We can remove anything that breaks these terms or the law.
Creators must:
- only publish content they made or have the right to sell
- describe their content honestly
- keep it to legitimate play, with no cheats or tools that break Ubisoft's rules
- not rely on exploits Ubisoft treats as cheating
- treat buyers and other players with respect
If you think something breaks these rules or infringes your rights, tell us at hello@r6strats.com [to confirm]. We'll look into it and act quickly.
Selling as a creator
This section applies if you sell on R6Strats. The rest of these terms apply to you too.
Joining
You apply on the Become a creator page. Once you're accepted, you set up a Stripe Connect account. Stripe checks your identity and handles your payouts. Stripe's own terms apply to your Stripe account.
Fees
We take a platform fee of 15% of each sale's net amount. The net amount is what's left after VAT and card fees.
The first 10 creators to join are founding creators. They pay 10% instead of 15% for 12 months from their first sale. After that, the fee is 15%.
Partner creators like Ryottz have their own agreement with us. Where it differs from this section, their agreement applies.
We'll tell you in advance before your fee changes.
Payouts
Your share of each sale goes to your Stripe account automatically. Stripe sets the payout schedule. If a buyer gets a refund, that sale comes off your earnings. You're responsible for your own tax on what you earn.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you make. You give us a licence to host, show, promote and sell your content on R6Strats. That licence also lets buyers use your content as these terms allow.
You confirm you own your content or have the right to sell it. You also confirm it doesn't break anyone's rights or the law.
Leaving
You can stop selling at any time by telling us. We'll take your page down and stop new sales. We'll pay out anything you're still owed through Stripe.
Buyers who've already unlocked your catalogue keep access to the content they paid for. Your licence to us carries on for that purpose.
We can end your creator account if you break these terms. If we do, we'll tell you why.
Acceptable use
Don't use R6Strats to:
- break the law or anyone's rights
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone
- upload malware or try to break into the site or other people's accounts
- scrape, copy or mirror the site
- get around the locks or anything else that controls access
- pretend to be someone else, including a creator or Ubisoft
If you do, we can remove content and suspend or close your account.
Ubisoft
R6Strats isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Ubisoft. Rainbow Six Siege is a trademark of Ubisoft Entertainment.
We aren't responsible for the game itself. That includes its servers, patches, rules and your Ubisoft account.
Our liability
We're responsible for loss you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable.
R6Strats is for personal use. If you use it for business, we're not liable for lost profit, lost business or business interruption.
We're not responsible for your in game results, your rank or anything Ubisoft does to your account.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it. That includes fraud and death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law changes or we add features. We'll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email you before it applies.
The terms in force when you bought something apply to that purchase.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Disputes go to the Scottish courts. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, you can bring a claim in your own courts instead.
If you have a problem, please contact us first. Most things get sorted quickly that way.
